Wendy, who lovingly goes by Miss Piggy because of her shuffling and her constant snorting, is a very special dog who is going to need a very special owner. She has the sweetest personality, so much love to give and the cutest little waddle you’ve ever seen!We don’t know much about the beginning of her life, other than her coming from a breeder that was not adhering to breeding standards, which ultimately resulted in her not having the standard bulldog body type so her legs don’t work as easily as they should. Anyone wishing to be her forever home needs to understand that if you have a staircase or porch that requires anything more than a few steps, she will need to be carried up and down them. She is not going to be the companion that takes long walks on the beach with you, she’s a short stubby girl who can only handle short distances. But that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t like to play… She loves toys, loves shuffling around the yard and sniffing all that there is to smell. She has a very silly side and loves to play games… If she knows, it’s time to be crated, she loves to run and Play hide and go seek behind furniture until you catch her. Because she’s short and stubby, if she has an itch on her rump, she can’t turn around and reach the scratch. So the result is the most adorable little Buddha baby sitting and wiggling Back-and-forth so she can itch the scratch. And while she loves to play, the most important thing to be known at this time is that she can only be adopted to a family that has no other pets (cats and/or dogs) or small children. She shows no signs of food or toy aggression with people or pets, but what we have found is that When startled Or she gets too excitable, there have been instances where she attacks her fellow playmate. Her current foster family has six other dogs in the house and while we are very confident Of how we can handle her and that our pack can correct her, we need a family for her that we can have complete peace of mind that she won’t be hurt or won’t hurt another pet. She has been in our home, minus a few weeks, since September and since then, she has only had a handful of these moments where she has had to been corrected and separated from the other dogs. And the reason we say No small children, Is because the last thing that we want Is for your toddler or young child to run up To her when she isn’t expecting it, and snap at them. With that said, she is an incredibly lovey, Sweet and big cuddly baby. She is happiest on your lap Or cuddling in bed with you. Once she finds her person, she becomes your shadow. She doesn’t mind car rides, especially if she knows she gets to be with her person. Loves having her face squished, and given lots and LOTS of kisses. She loves her toys and loves a big comfy bed in her crate— Make sure it’s an indestructible bed, cause she loves to chew on them. But we’ve not noticed any chewing on furniture or parts of the house… Just the dog bed. She is mixed with a French bulldog and with that comes a lot of sass. If you leave the room and she’s not able to go with you… She will grunt, whine and snort until she gets your attention back. She has no problem communicating! We know Miss piggy comes with some baggage, but we also know what an incredibly sweet dog she is, and that she deserves the best rest of her life! We know she’s special and has special needs, but we also know that the right person is out there for her.
