Smitty

Smitty was originally surrendered to a shelter in poor condition. He was missing a great deal of hair and was covered in scabs. For Smitty, like many dogs, a shelter environment was an overwhelming experience for him and he became very withdrawn. The shelter staff reached out to LCHS thinking a foster home would be the best fit for Smitty. After just a few weeks in a home with a confident dog buddy, Smitty has blossomed into the sweetest and most playful boy! He can be shy initially with new people, but he's food motivated and eager to please. Smitty's favorite activities include sunbathing, snuggling, and playing with his foster brother. Smitty would do best in a home with another confident and playful dog that he can learn from. Smitty weighs about 25-30 pounds. Smitty will need the company of an existing furry brother or sister in his new home.
