Gracie

Gracie comes from a rough beginning. She literally stayed in her kennel with the door opened for three weeks before she ventured out. She was scared and timid but little by little she began to trust me and I am now 'her person'. Even if I go to the mailbox, she is waiting to greet me like I was gone all day. She is loving and affectionate and longing for love. We are working on wearing a harness and leash. That seems to intimidate her. Because I believed she was a flight risk, I kept her indoors until we bonded so she always went on puppy pads. Until she bonds with you, she will still be a flight risk and requires patience and a secure, fenced-in yard. She will need a lot of patience but once you win her over, she will be your loving companion for life. She gets along with other dogs but is shy and may take time to get to know them.
