Bella

Bella is a dog with the most beautiful of souls, and the most undeserving of pasts. Although no details were ever provided about her life before being introduced to the LCS foster program, it was obvious in the most heartbreaking way that she has been mistreated. However, after spending only a week with her, I never would have guessed it! She is the most resilient dog that I’ve ever taken into my care. While at the beginning she would flinch at a gentle petting, it’s now all she desires, but more than that, it’s all she deserves! She is a dog in two parts, the first part being a husky, and the second a sloth. Truthfully, she is quite quiet especially for a husky. She very rarely barks, doesn’t howl, but she WILL give you the occasional vocal sass if you tell her to sit one time too many, though she always budges and apologizes for talking back. She also loves playing with ropes! She seemed very confused when I first took her into my care on what exactly a “toy” was, but it’s now her favorite way to expend her extra energy. After a (not so long) playing session, she’ll go into low power mode and likely take a 5-hour nap, preferably by your side, and upside down (see below pictures). Besides all of that, her favorite snacks are Golden Grahams and Chick-Fil-A Hash Browns, and her favorite activities are checking to see what you’re up to, being beautiful, and going to the park. When you foster a dog it’s difficult to fit their personality into so few words. Beyond that it’s impossible to express how great of a life they deserve after having such an unfair start. If you are looking for a best friend, a family dog who will gently play with your children then take a nap with you, or a lifelong companion, Bella is the dog for you!
