Good Looks, Personality, and Intelligence: Sammie is the total package! This guy is a quiet, gentle soul who does great with other friendly dogs, loves to play with toys, and is happy to sweetly greet any visitor to our home. He trains easily and always aims to please his people, so his ideal family will be interested in continuing his positive-reinforcement training while he learns to be a pampered indoor pet. Sammie rarely makes a noise, but when it does, it’s to give you an adorable “wooowoooooo” when he’s happy to see you awake in the morning or to announce his satisfaction with his meal. He is 100% house trained and will always let you sleep in, even though he wakes up bouncy & ready to head outside with his toy. Sammie didn’t have a great start, so he is a flight risk until he settles in with his people, and he will need to be leashed or within a fenced yard at all times. He rides well in the car, walks well on the leash and enjoys going places with you, though he is very heat-intolerant, so he’s not interested in any walks in this Florida heat. His only draw-back? Samme is terrified of storms, so we’re working to find the right combination of medication & support to help him handle that a little better. Otherwise, he’s an amazing boy!
