Molly is a New Year's baby! She came to LCHS with her Australian Shepherd mom and 8 siblings. LCHS continues to provide both mom and puppies vet care at Ox Bottom Animal Hospital. Molly was able to stay with mom and siblings for her first 6 weeks, then nine puppies became quite the handful for one foster mom to care for. Molly has been in her current foster home since February 13th. The home has a mom, dad, 3 dogs, 4 cats, a teenager, an adult daughter, and a 5 year old boy. This pup has been exposed to a busy and noisy home. One household dog and cat have put Molly in her place a time or two. She quickly gets the hint with a low growl or a swipe of the paw. Please keep in mind that the foster's pets are used to four pawed visitors and your current pets may not be so forgiving of exuberant puppy love.Molly currently has a large fenced yard that she loves to run and play in. That also means that she hasn't had much leash practice. Molly is decent at using puppy pads inside the house when she doesn't make it outside in time. It's hit or miss to be honest. Molly is crate trained and crated when we aren't home and sleeps through the night in a crate with her brother. She hops right into the crate when asked. Molly will need patience and additional training just like all puppies.
